WE’RE GIVING BACK – and what this means for YOU

Since 2002, Orchards has been successfully selling and letting properties in Bedfordshire, passionately helping residents with their moves, and expertly advising on everything from acreage, to apportionment, to ASTs. Our Founder Julian started in estate agency aged just 15 (we’ll let you work out how many years that’s been), and Director Adam joined him in 2011.

We’re truly a part of the local community, ever-building our position as a local business, living in the local area, sending our children to the local schools, and of course appreciating all Ampthill has to offer. Which is why we’ve set our focus on giving back to the town—and to you!

2023 has lots in store for our clients, our team and our neighbours…

Coming up soonest on the calendar is Russell Lower School Ball – Saturday 20th May.

We’ve got a fantastic competition for the little ones, drawing (quite literally) on our experience with colouring competitions over the years. 500 cards will be given out to pupils, asking them to draw what Ampthill means to them. Could it be running around 300-acre Great Park with your cousins, all with grass-stained knees? Could it be wandering the pretty streets, holding hands with Mum on a warm, sunny day? Could it be going to watch the rugby with Grandad, flask in hand and snacks at the ready?

Whatever Ampthill means, we’ll be displaying the pictures in our window for everyone to come and appreciate. The winner, chosen by us and announced at the Ball, will receive a £150 Smyths Toys voucher.

Next up is Ampthill Festival – Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July.

We’ll be sponsoring this trio of events, with AmpRocks on the Friday, AmpProms on the Saturday, and AmpGala on the Sunday.

In true Orchards giveaway style, we’ll have 50 tickets up for grabs for AmpProms, and two whole-weekend VIP tickets too.

AmpGala day is a jam-packed day of activities for everyone. Don’t miss the climbing wall—paid for by us, ultimate fun for you. Tag us in your photos of you up there!

Last but by no means least is our new Apprenticeship scheme, commencing from July.

We wouldn’t be where we are without picking a few things up along the way. From Julian’s teenage years in estate agency, to Adam’s marketing background, to the mass of experience our team has gained since, we’ve got so much to offer those looking to enter the industry.

We’re so excited to be running an Apprenticeship scheme with Redborne Upper School, where Adam was a pupil back in the day. We’ll be focusing on in-office and on-the-job experience, showing these apprentices the real estate ropes. This will be combined with classroom learning, and there’s a Level 3 qualification at the end.

We may be biased, but estate agency is a great career option. Working with people and the public in a social environment, feeling rewarded when accepting that offer and handing over those keys, constant learning, challenges and innovation.

If you know anyone who could be interested in this opportunity, get in touch to discuss in more detail: call 01525 40 22 66, email ampthill@orchards.co.uk, or pop in to see us at The Clock Tower on Bedford Street, Ampthill.
